Hot tubs in Calvià and Son Caliu
The municipality of Calvià covers everything from the old village under the Galatzó to the apartment blocks of Palmanova, and the right hot tub depends on which of those you live in. Son Caliu, Costa de la Calma and the village itself are mostly houses with gardens, where installation is straightforward.

Son Caliu and Costa de la Calma are flat-ish grid urbanisations with level drives and side passages, and most spas go in on a trolley at the standard price. Calvià village has narrow streets and townhouses with a back patio, so a lift over the roof is sometimes the only option. Palmanova and Magaluf apartments are lift-and-stairwell territory, which means a crane to the balcony or terrace and a conversation with the community first.
Three kinds of Calvià home
Village townhouses in Calvià and Es Capdellà, suburban villas in Son Caliu and Costa de la Calma, and holiday flats along the coast. The first two make up most of our work. The flats are possible, but the weight on a balcony and the community rules need checking before anyone falls in love with a model.
What we fit most
The Cala 5 is the practical choice for a Son Caliu garden, five seats on a 16 A supply and the lowest running cost in the range. The Serra 5 and Serra 6 go to houses that use the spa all year and want the app, the circulation pump and the better insulation that brings winter costs down to 50 to 70 euros a month. Calvià has more residents than pure second homes, so the spa gets used in February, which favours the Premium series.
Water and wind
Calvià water comes partly from desalination and partly from wells and varies by street; some houses have softeners already. We test the fill water on the day and set the starter routine to match. Son Caliu and Costa de la Calma get the sea breeze without the full salt load of the front line, so standard cabinets last well here.
The base and the drain
Most gardens have a paved area that will take a spa, but we check that it drains away from the house. A spa emptied twice a year sends 1,000 litres somewhere, and the drainage pump kit at 175 euros sends it to a drain rather than into the neighbour's plot.
How installation runs
For a standard garden install we are on site for a morning. Electrics on a dedicated RCD line from your cuadro eléctrico, spa levelled on its pad, filled, heated overnight, and a short handover call the next day once it has reached temperature. Village townhouses with a crane take a little longer and need a street permit from the Ajuntament, which we request.
