Cala 3
The three-seat tub for a small terrace
The Cala 3 is the smallest tub we sell and the one we recommend for couples and apartment terraces. At 200×160 cm it fits where a square tub will not, and it runs on a standard 16 A line. A typical home for it is a first-floor terrace in Santa Catalina or Portixol, carried in on its side through a 90 cm doorway.

Footprint to scale
Top view at true proportions, seats and loungers marked. Allow 60 cm of clear space on at least one side for servicing, and a path at least 90 cm wide on delivery day, because the tub travels on its side.
Who it's for
The Cala 3 is for two people who want a tub every evening, not a pool party. Three seats, one of them a lounger, in a footprint of 200×160×80 cm. That is the smallest shell in the range and the only one that fits a terrace strip less than two metres deep.
It is an Essential series tub: one 3 HP pump, a 3 kW heater and a plain digital panel on the rim. No app, no touchscreen. If you want to start the heater from the airport, look at the Serra 3, which has almost the same footprint plus a colour panel with wifi.
Seats and massage
The lounger takes a person up to about 185 cm comfortably. The two upright seats are proper seats, not perches, with jets at the lower back and calves. In total there are 30 hydro jets and 8 air jets, run from the single pump, so you choose between the lounger and the seats at full pressure rather than running all three hard at once. For two people that is never a problem. Three adults fit, but one of them is in the lounger with their feet near someone's knees.
The water volume is 800 litres. That matters more than it sounds. A small volume heats fast, costs less to keep warm and is cheaper to change. In Mallorca's hard water you will change it every three to four months, and 800 litres is a hose and an afternoon.
Running it in Mallorca
On the island tariff of around €0.22/kWh, an Essential series tub held at 38 °C and used three times a week costs about €35–45 a month in summer and €60–80 in winter. The Cala 3 sits at the low end of that range because there is less water to heat. Keep the cover on, keep it clamped against the tramuntana, and that figure holds. A north-facing terrace in Valldemossa will cost more in January than a sheltered one in Portals.
Hard water means calcium. We set the water up on installation and leave you a starter kit. A water care visit from €95 keeps it in balance if you are not here.
Installing it
Dry weight is 290 kg. Full, it is about 1.1 tonnes, so a normal concrete or tiled terrace takes it without reinforcement. Delivery is on its side: the tub is 80 cm high, so it needs a clear path 90 cm wide, which is a standard door or garden gate. Stairs or a narrower passage mean a crane, from €450–650 for a lift up to 15 m.
Power is a dedicated 16 A line with an RCD. If the nearest point is more than a few metres away, a new line up to 15 m is €550–750. Price installed is €8,490 including IVA, delivery and standard ground-level installation. It is in stock on the island.
Questions about the Cala 3
More questions? Ask on WhatsApp.
Will the Cala 3 fit through a 90 cm gate?
Yes, just. It travels on its side and is 80 cm high, so a 90 cm opening with no steps works. Send us a photo of the route and we will confirm before delivery.
What electrical supply does it need?
A dedicated 16 A line with an RCD from your consumer unit. Most Mallorcan homes have this capacity. If a new line is needed we price it with the installation, from €550 for up to 15 m.
How many adults really fit?
Two in comfort, three without complaint. One is in the lounger, two sit upright. It is not a tub for hosting.
What does it cost to run in winter?
Around €60–80 a month at the top of the Essential range, and usually less for the Cala 3 because it holds only 800 litres. Summer is €35–45.
