Installation by our own team, anywhere in Mallorca
Every price on this site includes delivery and standard installation. This page explains what happens between your first message and the first evening in the water, and what to expect when your terrace is not standard.
The site visit
It starts with photos on WhatsApp. Send us the spot, the path from the street and your fuse board, and we can usually tell you the same day whether it is a straightforward job. Then one of our installers comes out for about 45 minutes. We measure the route from where the lorry can stop to where the spa will sit, check gate widths, steps and corners, look at the base, open the fuse board and find the nearest water tap. You get a written quote that lists any extras and the reason for each one.
Raised terraces and structural checks
A filled hot tub weighs 1.5–2.5 t on a footprint of about 4–5 m². Most ground-floor terraces take that easily. A first-floor terrace, a roof or a terrace built over a garage is different, and we will not put a spa on one without a load check. For hot tubs this is often a quick look at the original plans by a technical architect. For a swim spa at up to 12 t it is always a structural engineer's report. We can arrange either and tell you the cost up front.
Old towns versus urbanisations
In a villa urbanisation in Santa Ponça, Bendinat or Cala d'Or the lorry parks at the gate, the tub comes off on a trolley and goes round the side of the house on its edge. If the path is level and at least 105 cm wide, that is standard installation.
In Sóller, Pollença, Alcúdia or the old town of Palma the lorry may not get within 100 m of the door. The path may be a staircase, a lane with a sharp turn, or a courtyard reached through the house. Then it is a crane, a smaller vehicle, or occasionally a carry team with the tub on a frame. The crane is quoted by reach and by what the street allows, and in some streets we need to book a police permit for the lift morning.
What you should prepare
Before we arrive we need the base finished and level, the electrical line run to the spot and terminated in a lockable isolator, and a hose that reaches the tub. If we do the slab and electrics, that happens a few weeks earlier so the concrete can cure. Clear the route of pots and furniture, and tell the neighbours if a gate or parking space is involved.
Timing
Hot tubs in stock usually go in within two to three weeks. Made-to-order models take 6–8 weeks. The installation day itself is one day: unloading in the morning, positioning, connection, filling, and commissioning in the afternoon. We come back after the first week to recheck the chemistry.
What standard installation includes
Delivery anywhere in Mallorca, placement with ground-level access on a suitable base, connection to a dedicated line already at the spot, first fill, water balancing, a full walk-through of the controls and the app, and removal of all packaging. Extras are the things that depend on your site: a crane, a difficult carry, a new electrical line, a new slab, a cover lifter or steps, and anything on a raised structure.
Swim spas
A swim spa is always a planned job. It arrives on a flatbed, always goes in by crane, needs a reinforced slab designed for 9–12 t and a 40–50 A supply. We survey the route, book the crane and any permit, and pour the slab ourselves or coordinate it with your builder.
How installation works
- 1
Photos or a visit
Send a few photos of the terrace and the way in, or book a visit. We confirm access, base, electrics and the exact price.
- 2
Preparation
If needed: a concrete base, an electrical line to the spot, drainage. Our own team or your builder, as you prefer.
- 3
Delivery day
Our team brings the spa on its side through gates and passages, or lifts it over the wall with a crane. We position, level and connect it.
- 4
Fill and handover
We fill it, balance the water, heat it, and show you the controls and water care. You're in the water the same evening or the next morning.
What your site needs
Electrical supply
A dedicated line from your fuse board with a residual-current breaker. Essential models run on 16 A, Premium on 20–25 A, Signature and swim spas on 32–50 A. Most villas have the capacity; we check your board on the visit.
A level base
A level concrete slab or paved surface that carries the full weight: 1.5–2.5 tonnes for a hot tub, up to 12 tonnes for a swim spa. Existing terraces are usually fine at ground level; raised terraces need a quick structural check.
Water and drainage
A garden tap within hose reach for filling. A drain or soakaway nearby makes the two or three water changes a year easy.
Access or a crane
On its side a hot tub needs a path about 10 cm wider than its height, usually 95–105 cm. Narrower than that, or stairs, and we bring a crane. A lift up to 15 m is routine.

Questions
More questions? Ask on WhatsApp.
What counts as standard installation?
Ground-level access from where our lorry can park to where the spa will sit, through gates and passages at least about 10 cm wider than the spa's height, which means roughly 95 to 105 cm. A firm, level base already in place, and a suitable electrical supply within reach. If any of those is missing, the price builder shows the extra, from difficult access at 250 to 350 euros to a new line or a base.
When is a crane needed and what does it cost?
Whenever the spa cannot travel on its side along a flat route: stairs, a passage narrower than about 95 cm, a terrace above or below street level, or a roof terrace. A mobile crane for a lift up to 15 m is 450 to 650 euros; a larger machine for long reaches over a house or down a hillside is 900 to 1,500. In Palma, Sóller and Pollença the lift usually also needs a street permit, which we request.
What electrical supply does a hot tub need?
A dedicated line from your panel with its own RCD: 16 A for Essential models, 20 to 25 A for Premium, 32 A for Signature and 40 to 50 A for swim spas. Many Mallorcan homes have 5.75 kW contracted, which runs an Essential spa comfortably but may need an increase from the supplier for a Premium or Signature. A new line up to 15 m costs 550 to 750 euros, 15 to 30 m is 850 to 1,200, and we install it on the day.
How long from ordering to sitting in warm water?
For a stock model with standard access, usually within two weeks of confirming the order, and the installation itself is a morning. The spa is filled and heating when we leave and reaches 38 °C overnight. Made-to-order Signature models and swim spas take 6 to 8 weeks, and any base or terrace work is done in the week before delivery so the slab has cured.
Can you remove my old hot tub?
Yes. We drain it, disconnect it, take it out the way the new one comes in, and dispose of it at a licensed facility, with the cost depending on access and whether a crane is already booked for the new spa. Tell us when you ask for a quote and send a photo of the old one; if it still works we will say so, and some owners sell them on instead.
Do you need to visit before installation?
For most gardens and level terraces, a few photos on WhatsApp are enough: the spot, the route from the street and the electrical panel. We visit before quoting when the plot is on a hillside, the spa is going on a roof terrace or above a basement, a crane reach needs measuring, or anything is being sunk or built. The visit is free and takes about twenty minutes.
