Cool lane, hot spa, no compromise

Footprint to scale
Top view at true proportions, seats and loungers marked. Allow 60 cm of clear space on at least one side for servicing, and a path at least 160 cm wide on delivery day, because the tub travels on its side.
Who it's for
The Nedar 5.9 Dual is for people who would otherwise buy a swim spa and a hot tub. One person trains, another wants 38 °C at ten in the evening, and nobody wants to compromise at 30 °C. It also makes sense for second homes with guests: the spa end is ready at full heat while the lane stays cool for the morning swim.
At 5.9 m it needs space. Allow a footprint of 7.5 by 3.5 m with step access and room on the equipment side. That is a villa garden, a finca courtyard or a generous terrace that an engineer has signed off. It is a Signature series unit: three swim pumps, two massage pumps, UV and ozone water treatment, full-foam insulation and an 11 kW heater. Running costs are the highest of the range, roughly €90–130 a month in summer and €180–260 in winter.
Swimming and training
The swim zone is about 3.6 m of clear lane with three swim pumps behind four swim jets. That is the strongest current we sell and the smoothest, because the water is pushed as a broad sheet rather than a jet in the stomach. Set low it is a gentle aqua-jog; set high it holds a strong swimmer at race pace. The tether point, the flat non-slip floor and the handrails are all standard.
Because the swim zone is separate, you can keep it at 26–28 °C all year without heating 9,500 litres to spa temperature. Winter residents in Mallorca use it exactly like a lap pool, every morning, including January.
The spa seats
The spa zone is a proper five-seat hot tub behind a shared wall, with two loungers, three upright seats and 44 jets fed by two massage pumps. It holds 38 °C independently of the lane. Both zones share the same filtration and the UV and ozone system, so chemical use is low, which matters when the sun and the salt air of the coast are already working against your water.
An internal step lets you move from a swim straight into the spa. One cover in two sections keeps each zone efficient.
Installing it in Mallorca
This is the heaviest unit we install. Empty it is 2,100 kg. Full, with 9,500 litres and five people, it approaches 12 t. It needs a reinforced concrete slab designed for that load, and any raised terrace or roof needs a structural engineer's report first. We will not install on a surface we are not sure of.
Power is a dedicated 50 A line with its own RCD, and on many properties that means raising the contracted supply with the utility before anything else. We check both on the first visit.
It arrives by lorry and always goes in by crane. At nearly 6 m long it needs a larger crane and more road space than a hot tub, so old-town lanes in Sóller, Pollença or Palma are planned individually. The crane is quoted separately.
A free-standing unit on a private plot normally needs no licence. If you want it sunk flush into a terrace, some councils treat it like a pool. Check with your council or community before deciding on a sunken installation.

A hot tub fits most terraces and costs €8,490–19,490 all-in. A swim spa needs a slab, a crane and 40–50 A, but gives you warm-water swimming at home. Here is how to choose.
