Footprint to scale
Top view at true proportions, seats and loungers marked. Allow 60 cm of clear space on at least one side for servicing, and a path at least 150 cm wide on delivery day, because the tub travels on its side.
Who it's for
The Nedar 4.3 suits people with a terrace or garden of 6 by 4 m who want to swim, not just soak. In Palma and the coastal towns that usually means a roof terrace, a townhouse courtyard or a villa plot where the pool licence, the excavation or the neighbours make a conventional pool unrealistic. A pool in Mallorca sits cold from November to April. A swim spa at 28 °C is used every week of the year.
It is a Premium series unit: two swim pumps, a separate massage pump, a circulation pump and the colour touchscreen with app control. Running costs sit around €90–130 a month in summer and €180–260 in winter at 3 sessions a week.
Swimming and training
The swim lane is 225 cm wide and the two swim pumps feed three large swim jets at one end. The current is adjustable from a gentle aqua-jog to a pace that will keep a competent swimmer working. At 4.3 m the lane is short, so taller or stronger swimmers should try it before buying. We can arrange that. If you swim 2 km three times a week, look at the Nedar 5.2. If you want a steady 20 minutes of front crawl, resistance training with the optional tether, or rehabilitation after a knee or hip operation, the 4.3 does the job.
The floor is flat and non-slip, there is a grab rail at the swim end and the water depth of about 120 cm lets most adults stand comfortably.
The spa seats
At the opposite end from the swim jets are four upright hydromassage seats with 24 jets between them, arranged so two people can talk across the water while two more float in the lane. The water is one zone, so it all sits at the same temperature. Most owners settle on 28–30 °C, which is warm enough to sit in for a chat and cool enough to swim in. If you want 38 °C spa evenings and 28 °C swimming on the same day, that is what the dual-zone Nedar 5.9 is for.
Installing it in Mallorca
A swim spa is a different job from a hot tub. The Nedar 4.3 weighs 1,500 kg empty and roughly 9 t full of water and people. That needs a reinforced concrete slab, and if you are thinking about a raised terrace or a roof, a structural check first. We will tell you plainly if a location will not work.
Power is a dedicated 40 A line with its own RCD from your fuse board. Older fincas and apartments often need a supply upgrade from the utility, and that takes longer than the spa does, so we check it on the first visit.
It arrives by lorry and almost always goes in by crane. The crane is quoted separately, because it depends on the lift distance and the street. Narrow old-town lanes need a different approach, and we plan that in advance.
A free-standing swim spa on your own plot normally needs no licence. If you want it sunk into the ground, some councils treat it like a pool, so check with your council or community before you decide on a sunken install.

A hot tub fits most terraces and costs €8,490–19,490 all-in. A swim spa needs a slab, a crane and 40–50 A, but gives you warm-water swimming at home. Here is how to choose.
