Delivery notes for Marratxí
Most Marratxí houses have a side gate from the street to the back garden, and if that gate clears about 105 cm a spa on its side goes through on a trolley without any fuss. Where the gate is narrower, or the garden sits a level below the road as in parts of Es Figueral, a small crane over the wall adds 450 to 650 euros and an hour. Parking a 7.5 t lorry on the residential streets of Pòrtol is rarely a problem on a weekday morning.
Gardens, not terraces
Unlike Palma, almost every installation in Marratxí goes onto a garden slab or a paved patio at ground level. That means standard installation, no crane in most cases and the full model price covering everything. The Cala 5 and Serra 5 account for most of what we deliver here, with the round Rodona 6 popular with families who want six seats for the children and their friends without the footprint of a square six.
The base
The common weak point in a Marratxí garden is the base. A terrace of 30 cm concrete tiles laid on sand will settle unevenly under 1,500 kg of water and crack the spa frame over a few seasons. If your tiles ring hollow when tapped, we recommend a new 10 cm reinforced concrete pad at 85 to 110 euros per square metre, poured a week before delivery.
Power in a family house
Many houses in the municipality have 5.75 kW contracted, which is enough for an Essential spa on 16 A if the oven and air conditioning are not on the same circuit as the hot tub. A Premium model on 25 A usually means asking Endesa to raise the contracted power, which takes a few weeks and is worth starting before the spa arrives. We run the new line from the cuadro eléctrico in surface conduit or buried, your choice.
Local water
Marratxí mains water is among the hardest on the island. Expect scale on the heater and cloudy water within weeks if the calcium is not managed. Every spa we fit here leaves with a calcium-control routine and we recommend the water care starter kit at 160 euros rather than a trip to the supermarket shelf.
A spa for the whole year
The Es Pla side of the island gets colder nights than the coast, with light frost a few mornings in January. Running costs for an Essential 5-seater stay around 60 to 80 euros a month in those months.
